Terms of Service
Effective [date of approval]
These terms are an agreement between you and VocaLecta (“we”) about using our website and service. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
VocaLecta lets you practice speaking a language out loud with an AI tutor, get feedback after each session, and review saved phrases. The tutor is an AI, not a person. It can make mistakes, including about the language it teaches, so use your own judgment. Nothing it says is medical, legal or financial advice.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. You confirm this when you sign up.
3. Your account
- You sign in with an emailed link or with Google. Keep access to your email account secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- One person per account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@vocalecta.com if you think someone else has used it.
- One free allowance per person. Creating extra accounts to get more free practice isn't allowed, and we may block throwaway email addresses.
4. Free practice, plans and limits
- Free: 10 minutes of voice practice or 2 sessions, whichever comes first, with no card. Reviewing your saved phrases stays free.
- Plans: Monthly ($17.99 a month) and Yearly ($89 a year), plus any taxes. Payments are processed by Whop. A plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. For yearly plans we email you before each renewal.
- Fair use: paid plans include up to 30 minutes of voice practice a day, and a session can last up to 15 minutes. When you reach the daily limit, text practice stays open and voice resets at midnight in your time zone.
- Cancel any time in Settings, in one click. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. You can undo a cancellation before then.
- Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires. If something went wrong, write to support@vocalecta.com and we'll look at your case.
- If we change prices, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
5. Your content
What you say and type stays yours. You let us use it only to run the service for you: to have the conversation, prepare your feedback, save your phrases and show your progress. We don't keep recordings of your voice. You can delete transcripts and tutor memory in Settings.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use VocaLecta to harass anyone, to produce illegal, hateful or sexual content, to break or overload the service, to get around limits, or to copy the service or its content. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Our content
The site, its lessons, scenarios and phrase lists belong to us. You may use them for your own learning, not to resell or republish them.
8. Changes and ending
We may change or stop parts of the service. If we stop the service entirely, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period. You can stop using VocaLecta and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may close accounts that break these terms.
9. No warranties; limits on liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [state], USA, except where the consumer law of your home country says otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change applies to you.
